The PWHT team is uniquely qualified to deliver the highest level of hockey specific training available today. Our combination of formal exercise science education and playing experience at the highest levels of the game are unprecedented and unmatched.
Zack Rourk, PhD
Zack earned his doctorate and dual masters in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota. He has been training hockey players from the high school to NHL level for the past ten years. He is currently a professor of Exercise Science at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where he studies hockey training and is the Director of the Masters in Strength and Conditioning program.

Jordy Murray
Jordy is a product of Shattuck St. Mary’s high school program where he won the under 18 national championship twice. After a three-year career with the Wisconsin Badgers including an appearance in the NCAA national championship game, Jordy played six years in the Swiss National A League. In the spring of 2020, Jordy graduated with his M.Ed in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota.

Matt Cooke
Matt Cooke played in 1046 NHL games for the Canucks, Capitals, Penguins and Wild. He finished his career with 398 points and 1 Stanley Cup. During his time in the NHL he was fortunate enough to train alongside some of the top NHL players and trainers in the industry.

John Draeger
John helped lead Shattuck St. Mary’s to two consecutive National Championships and was his team’s top scoring defenseman. He went on to play for the Michigan State Spartans from 2012-2016 and was drafted in the third round (68th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild. He coached Prior Lake Varsity for two seasons as an Assistant Coach. John is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Wisconsin River Falls.
